Key Ingredients & How They Work
What is the role of Peptides in the MD® formula?
Peptides are the structural building blocks for brow definition. Our formula uses Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 to condition and strengthen hair fibers, minimizing breakage and supporting the appearance of longer, fuller brows.
Why is Biotin essential for brow health?
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is the essential vitamin for follicle resilience. It helps condition each brow hair, supporting the look of sparse or over-tweezed areas over time.
How does Panthenol improve brow texture?
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) provides deep hydration for a smooth, refined texture. It acts as a humectant, coating the brow hair to improve elasticity and prevent the brittle feel often caused by aging or environmental stressors.
What does Sodium Hyaluronate do for the brow area?
Sodium Hyaluronate is the "moisture magnet" for healthy brow skin. By holding 1,000x its weight in water, it ensures the skin beneath the brows remains hydrated, creating the ideal environment for healthy-looking hair.
What is the benefit of Saw Palmetto in the formula?
Serenoa Serrulata (Saw Palmetto) is a botanical extract known for its ability to support hair density and balance the skin environment around the follicle.
Why are Algae and Sea Lettuce extracts included?
These marine extracts are rich in minerals and antioxidants that protect the delicate brow skin from environmental pollutants and oxidative stress.
Does the formula contain Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate)?
Yes, it contains a gentle amount of Retinyl Palmitate to support skin renewal in the brow area, helping prevent dead skin cells from clogging the follicles.
What is the role of Niacin (Vitamin B3) in brow care?
Niacin improves the appearance of skin texture and supports the moisture barrier, helping the skin stay hydrated so the Peptides can work more effectively.

Product & Brand Credentials
Who formulated the MD Brow Conditioning Serum?
The serum was developed by Dr. Susan Lin, a physician with over 35 years of clinical experience in anti-aging and dermatological care, ensuring a professional-grade, science-backed solution.
Is this product paraben-free?
Yes. MD Brow Serum is formulated without parabens or harsh fragrances.
Where is MD Brow Conditioner manufactured?
MD Brow Conditioning Serum is developed and manufactured in the USA to high quality-control standards. A small number of other MD products are made by specialist partners overseas.
What makes a "Physician-Formulated" serum different?
Physician-formulated means the product was developed by a doctor, with ingredients selected from the published cosmetic science rather than for surface effect alone.
Does this serum contain Prostaglandins?
No. MD Brow Conditioning Serum does not contain a prostaglandin analogue — it is built on peptides, vitamins and botanical extracts, and the full ingredient list is published on the product page. Formulations differ across the MD range, so please check the ingredient list for each product. MD Lash Factor®, for example, contains dechloro ethylcloprostenolamide, a cosmetic-grade prostaglandin analogue.
Usage & Application
Can I use MD Brow Serum twice a day to speed up results?
We recommend a once-daily application. In a 56-day independent consumer-use study of our brow formula, 78% of participants agreed their brows seemed thicker. These are self-assessment results under study conditions; individual results may vary. Applying more often does not speed up the natural growth cycle.
Can I apply makeup immediately after use?
We recommend waiting 2–3 minutes for the serum to dry completely before applying brow pencils, gels, or powders to ensure the formula is fully absorbed.
Can I use the brow serum on my eyelashes?
This specific formula is optimized for the thicker skin and hair of the eyebrows. For lashes, we recommend using our MD Lash Factor®, which is specifically tested for the lash line.
Does the serum feel "crunchy" or "sticky" once dry?
No. Unlike styling gels, our conditioner is a lightweight, clear serum that absorbs fully into the skin and hair, leaving no residue or stiffness.
Results & Suitability
Will this serum help with "bald spots" in my eyebrows?
The serum conditions sparse areas with biotin and peptides, which can help improve the appearance of brows thinned by over-tweezing or age. It is a cosmetic conditioner and will not create new hairs where the follicle is no longer active.
Is the serum better for thinning brows or short brows?
It is designed for both. The conditioning agents support the appearance of density for thinning brows, and of length and definition for short or fine hairs.
Can men use MD Brow Conditioning Serum?
Absolutely. The formula is clear, fragrance-free, and non-greasy, making it a good choice for men who want to improve the look of sparse or "salt and pepper" eyebrows.
Safety & Compatibility
Will this serum change my eye color?
No. Our serum is designed for topical application only to the eyebrow area and does not contain ingredients associated with iris color changes.
Is it safe to use while wearing contact lenses?
The serum is applied to the brow area and is formulated not to migrate. As with any product used near the eyes, apply carefully, and remove contact lenses first if you prefer. In consumer-use testing, most participants reported no irritation under study conditions. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Packaging & Practicalities
How long does one tube of MD Brow Conditioner last?
When used as directed (once daily), a single tube typically lasts between 3 to 4 months, making it a highly cost-effective professional treatment.
Is the serum travel-friendly?
Yes, the sleek, leak-proof applicator is designed for travel and fits easily into any TSA-approved toiletry bag.
